This Friday! Single elimination style sprint tournament. Fixed or free. Roadies, be prepared to try an exciting new format. Think Challenge Sprint Pro, but less French and with more beer.

This past Friday, a record number of 41 racers congregated under sunny skies for the fourth installment of the Harbour Road Sprints. Races were contested on carbon-fiber hardtails, steel track bikes, Dura-Ace equipped road machines, and everything in between.

Hotel Grand Pacific Harbour Sprint Series - Round 3 Recap and Photos

The air was brisk and the wind was easterly tonight as the Hotel Grand Pacific Sprint Series wrapped up and took a bow. And man, it was a doozy!

A huge crowd came out to support the racers and they were not disappointed, with some of the closest racing that I have witnessed taking place in front of the Hotel Grand Pacific.

Quick results were Marty Machacek in first, Craig Richey taking second, and Derek Brain with another strong night in 3rd.

Hotel Grand Pacific Harbour Sprint Series - Round 2 Race Report

Another awesome night of sprints in downtown Vic. The racing was fierce, with Bastion Grand Prix winner Craig Ritchey edging out Andrew Ferguson for first place, and a big ass bottle of booze. It's been a great week for the cyclocross world rider, and he didn't even have to dismount and do barriers!!

Hotel Grand Pacific Harbour Sprint Series - Call for Volunteers!

News flash! This event won’t run itself.

We need some awesome volunteers to make sure everything goes smoothly: this includes setting up the course beforehand, dismantling it after the last races are run, marshaling during the actual event, and many other fun organizational tasks.

If you are racing, spectating, cat-calling, or plan to be at the race venue for any other reason, be sure to sign up for a volunteer shift! Volunteers will get free food, beer, VIP status at the after-party, and the grateful thanks of all racers and organizers.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
