Semiprestige #1 CX Race Recap & Semi-Official Results

Dang. That was pretty fun.

51 racers, and well over two dozen spectators offered cheers and beers at this Sunday's Stuckylife Semiprestige CX race.

The very techy course featured foolish rock run-ups, slick corners, bullet-proof barriers, as well as a tree fort section, and a sweet uphill sprint finish.

Weather was close to perfect. Sunny skies and warm weather provided a nice counterpoint to the week's worth of rain dumped into the grass.

Chek news even stopped by.

Renaat from Wannawafel had his Belgian waffle cart set up, and was offering up a taste of the real thing.

We ran two category races over the satanic course, and instituted an infuriating Le Mans start.

Teamwork
Seriously?! It was right here...
More photos? We will post a big dump of images to the blog early next week. In the meantime, peruse the Instagram #semiprestige images.

A massive "thank you" to the McKean family, owners of Broad St Cycles, and gracious hosts today.
As well, Habit Coffee for the last minute hot brew.
Phillips Brewing kindly stepped up with six pack podium prizing.
Lastly, we had a wicked selection of volunteers that made it all come together. From timing, to trail building & course teardown. Thanks.

Big ups to the many ladies that came out and raced. Next time we will have prizing and recognition at parity with the overall for you.

As well, juniors! 15% of the racers were under 15yrs old. The future is overcast, rainy and guarantees mud.

Lastly, a big 'hell yeah' to Brodie Bikes' Meat Hornland, and Kelly Jones. These two made the day trip down to Vic for our silly little race.

Semi-Official Results

Due to our stone-aged timing techniques, the best we can muster is a rough top ten from both races. The only certainty in our race results is that fun was had, and that you are all winners.
Except Drew and Peter, who really won.

The first ten finishers are listed according to finishing position. From there, alphabetical order is used.
Bonus feature of this organizational approach is a 0% DNF rate!

If we goofed, and placed you in the wrong finishing position, misspelled your name, team, etc, please send a handwritten letter detailing the correct information to the address below.
