Full-bore

This past weekend's BC Track Cycling Provincial Championships took place under sunny skies and brought a wealth of talent to our concrete banks.

Stuckylife's own Gillian Carleton cleaned up, as expected. Winning all of her races, setting all kinds of track records and breaking the sound barrier and stuff.

Phenom mechanic and Mr. Niceguy, Andy Achuff, was another StuckyLife racer with a remarkable showing this weekend. A blistering Standing 500M time (he beat out one-time world champ Chris Anstey) capped off a series of well-raced efforts. The mixed-field Masters & Senior Women Scratch race was blown apart again and again with Andy's off-the-front efforts.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday under the sun. Victoria locals turned out to race and watch, with as many basking and drinking beer as racing. These events are spectacular for the diversity of participants, often allowing tactics to trump brawn, and then brute force to come back and crush craftiness.

Big-ups for the last minute organization of this event on the part of participants (and immensely talented athletes) Brandon't, Gillian and Emile de Rosnay. More photos.

Badass.
