On July 15, 2011, Capital City Cycles held the second alleycat race from the 2011 Summer Race Series.
Here is one side of the story.
The Oak Bay Bikes Checkpoint:
Gillian and I were both out with injuries, but we did manage to put together a pretty banger check point at Oak Bay Bikes as a tribute to shop owner, Karl Ullrich.
As racers converged upon the mini-bike race course on the corner of Oak Bay and Foul Bay Avenues, they were directed towards the "Registration" table: this consisted of two bottles of Wild Turkey, which racers had to "Register" with in order to enter the course.
Put a foot down; start over.
