High polish.
The product of a very broke winter, this 20yr old Marinoni came to me with crisp bar tape and the original grease still white. It's gone from mint condition to having a healthy patina of chips and scratches. She sees duty as a daily city bike and alleycat killer, racing track in the summer, as well as putting in lots of road kilometres.
Built sometime in the early 1990s, a repaint of mauve paint obscures the serial number stamped into the bb, keeping the manufacture date a mystery. Rumours of past owners abound, ranging from female provincial track team members, to the national team livery.
Super smooth Chorus headset, Thomson post (the only choice), and Mavic Open Pros built with butted spokes around hand-polished Campy Record hubs by ninja mechanic Steve.
Weight without pedals sits at just over 16.5 lbs.
