In an effort to ward off the dark days, and redeem ourselves for drunk nights over the holiday season, Team Stuckylife has decided to undertake the Rapha's Festive 500 Challenge.
From December 23rd to December 31st, we will attempt to ride 500km:
We'll be riding road pretty much every day during this period, trying to average over 70km/ day.
Epicness will abound, with neither beer nor coffee-stop too far-flung.
In addition to being an excuse to wear leather gloves & work on our souplesse, the challenge is a way to spend good times with great friends during the last week of 2011.
All are welcome-and encouraged- to attend.
First ride:
- Friday, December 23rd
- Meet at 6:45pm at Capital City Cycles. Depart by 7pm.
- ~60km: Sidney via West Saanich. Beers. Home via Lochside.
- Dress warm, bring bright lights. Road bikes recommended. Mustaches required.
it's sidney, but cool
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I'm tempted, however, I only have 1 bike- a rigid mtb with slicks. It's not dead slow but it ain't roadie quick either. My question is; is everyone going to be on road bikes and going at a quick pace or is it going to be a relaxed pace? I guess I'll just show up and create my own smoker on an old mtb pace. mmm lung butter.
ReplyDeleteHell yeah show up!
