While most of the Stuckylife crew froze their asses off in the Great White North, I (Gillian) recently spent a week in Carson, CA training with the Canadian Track Team. Yes, our National Team trains in LA.
Uh, palm trees are awesome? There are at least 10 more photos like this on my camera, and then the novelty wore off.
On our first day down in LA, I and my teammates Julia Bradley and Jasmin Glaesser were informed that we made the selection for the first UCI Track World Cup of the season in Astana, Kazakhstan. The three of us will race the Women's Team Pursuit for Canada on Nov. 3rd.
The below video is one of us practicing exchanges behind coach Tanya Dubnicoff on the motorbike.
Yes, that is a Stuckylife skinsuit!
After the recent success of the Canadian Women's Team Pursuit squad at the PanAm Games in Guadalajara (where they didn't just win the gold medal, but also broke the games record!), I am very excited to be heading off to my first track World Cup next week.
Stay tuned for a race report.
Gillian you`ll do great. Congratulations. Enjoy sunny California. Awesome video, I don`t think I`ve seen a Stuckylife Kit move that fast before.
