Get to the Velodrome!

Highlights from the mission to the March 10, 2011 WSPRS meeting.

This is it! The final vote that will determine the fate of the Juan de Fuca velodrome takes place at the West Shore Parks and Recreation Society meeting this Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 7pm 6pm 7pm.



Our huge presence at the last WSPRS meeting in March helped save the velodrome from certain destruction and now it's time to finish what we started. The WSPRS board of directors will be voting to hand the the velodrome back over to the Greater Victoria Velodrome Association (GVVA) this Thursday. With luck, we will be back on the track by June!

They will feel our presence. Be sure to join us.

We will be riding as a group from Capital City Cycles at 6:15pm 5:15pm 6:15pm this Thursday, May 19, 2011.

This will promise to be another fun night, but as an added incentive, everyone who rides out with us will be awarded 5 points towards the Capital City Cycles Summer Series standings.

Beers will be consumed after the meeting at the 6 Mile Pub.

If you miss the ride, meet us at the lower level of the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre in the golf clubhouse.

This is the single, most important thing you can do to help get the Juan de Fuca velodrome open again.
